Location
Y Ffarmers is in the pretty village of Llanfihangel y Creuddyn, about 8 miles south-east of Aberystwyth in Ceredigion. The easiest route if you’re travelling from Aberystwyth is to follow the A487 out of town. At Southgate in Penparcau (opposite Plas Antaron Guest House), take the left-hand turning for Devil’s Bridge (A4120) and then take an immediate right-hand turn onto the B4340 Trawsgoed road. Follow the B4340 for approximately 4 miles. Go through the village of New Cross and down the hill, then take the left-hand turning signposted Llanfihangel y Creuddyn. Follow this narrow unclassified road for approximately two miles and you’ll come out on the village square. The pub is on your left-hand side opposite the church. For sat navs, our postcode is SY23 4LA.
*Temporary Road Closure: As some of you may have noticed (or read in the Cambrian News), part of the B4340 between Aberyswyth and Trawsgoed is closed near Abermagwr for maintenance between 21 January and 29 March 2013 - BUT the road doesn't close until after the turning for Llanfihangel so you can still use the B4340 if you're coming to Y Ffarmers from Aber! If you're approaching from the direction of Pontrhydfendigaid, you'll probably have to turn right in Abermagwr and come through the village of Cnwch Coch to get to us (a narrow road so please drive carefully). Alternatively, if you're coming from Aberystwyth, you can take the A4120 Devil's Bridge road and take the right-hand turning just after Pantycrug. More details on Ceredigion Council's website and the bit where the road is closed is marked on this map - look for the neon green splodge.
