Y Ffarmers is a free house which means we can buy our drink from whoever and wherever we like. Our choice of beers is guided by our customers (they know what they enjoy) and our underlying aim to keep our suppliers as local as possible.
The nearest brewery to us is Mantle in Cardigan in Ceredigion. Their Moho pale ale is always a hit in the bar, along with their darker Cwrw Teifi ale.
We also buy beer from Felinfoel near Llanelli –a company with more than one claim to fame. It's Wales’s oldest brewery as well as the very first brewery in the UK to can beer back in 1935.
Another regular logo on the bar is Llandeilo's Evan Evans. Their Organic Gold ale has won several international awards and they do a great range of seasonal ales including a St David's Ale and an Allez Rouge for those special Six Nations rugby moments.
There's also some very good bottled beer in the area, including Cambrian Heart Ale which is brewed at Neuadd Arms in Llanwrtyd Wells as part of the Prince of Wales’s Cambrian Mountains initiative.
Our wine list is curated by Alastair from Pembrokeshire-based Celtic Wines and ranges from a very quaffable, affordable Sauvignon Blanc from Chile to a very smooth Pinot Noir from Patagonia - Wales's very own sun-drenched vineyard ;).
