Y Ffarmers is a small family-owned pub, led by Chef Patron Rhodri Edwards. Rhodri was brought up in the Aberystwyth area but moved to Cardiff to work in the broadcast industry before returning to Ceredigion in 2003.
The move prompted a change in career direction for Rhodri. A keen amateur cook, he decided to train as a professional chef and spent two years at the Harbourmaster in Aberaeron from 2005-2007. In May 2007, he was appointed Head Chef at ultracomida in Aberystwyth where he worked until autumn 2009.
The dream of course was to own his own place and that dream came true in April 2010 when he bought the Farmers Arms in the village of Llanfihangel y Creuddyn, about 7 miles south-east of Aberystwyth.
